Fraunces for the voice, Inter for the work

Two free Google Fonts. Fraunces, softened, gives titles and headlines their warmth. Inter carries every row, button and figure, with tabular numbers so prices line up.

Fallbacks: Fraunces → Iowan Old Style, Georgia, serif. Inter → system-ui, -apple-system, Segoe UI, sans-serif. JetBrains Mono and Bricolage Grotesque are retired.

Sizes are size/line-height in px. On phones the brand book itself drops Display to 36/40; the app never uses Display.

Usage

Where each face goes

Fraunces
Screen titles, empty states, landing headlines, email headings, this book. That’s all.
Inter
Everything in a row, every button, input, sheet body and label. Rows keep v2 density because nothing in them changes face.
Italic accent
One phrase per headline, in Fraunces italic 500 and Clay, at 24px or larger: “Use what you’ve got. Waste less.”
Case
Sentence case everywhere, including buttons and headlines. Caps only for 11px section labels.
Limits
Three type sizes, three contrast levels and two accent colours per screen at most. Nothing below 13px except section labels. Item names never below 17px.

Figures that line up

Every number uses font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums lining-nums in Inter 600. Prices align on the decimal, and “1 punnet” stops reading like code now that JetBrains Mono is gone.
